New Church, Newbold College, Reading, Berkshire
Construction of a new contemporary single/2-storey church on the Newbold College Campus. The building was steel framed with brick, glazing and cedar timber cladding. The circular two-storey main worship area with semi circular seating, allows the congregation to interact with activities on the platform. The open design included meeting rooms, a cafe and public areas, with an environmental flat ‘grass roof’ over the single storey element. The building is both a church and a community facility.
