News: New Day Centre and Community Facility, Winchester

Wilding Butler Construction have commenced a £1.3m design build project for a new Day Centre and Community facility to be known as The Trinity Centre, Durngate, Winchester. The project is on the former site of Durngate House; this very sensitive and restricted site has SSI status, a high water table being adjacent to the River Itchen and is a haven for wildlife. The project is two-storey steel framed building on piled foundations, with rendered and cedar timber clad exterior walls. The new facilities include dining and kitchen facilities, art and teaching rooms, offices, stores and a plant room. The project is due for completion February 2009.
