News: New Church Waterlooville

After many years in the planning and a considerable amount of fundraising the residents of Waterlooville are finally getting a new Roman Catholic Church. Wilding Butler have been appointed to construct the church in London Road at a cost of approximately £3 million.

The Christchurch based architect Columba Cook has been involved with the design of the church for many years and is now delighted that the building is underway. Phil Wilding, the Managing Director of Winchester based construction company Wilding Butler stated “We’ve been involved with a number of ecclesiastical projects in recent years but this is only the third totally new church. A few years ago we built a church at Newbold College in Berkshire and more recently completed the Church on the Heath in Fleet but the Sacred Heart is the largest of the three.”
